St. Michael’s school is the brainchild of two enterprising ladies, the late Ms. Patricia Franklin and the present Director Ms. Patricia Mathew and was established in a small rented premise in Marredpally, Secunderabad, in the year 1996. The school started functioning with just 40 children and about 12 members of staff but was committed to providing quality education.
In 2002 Mr Jaya Prakash Reddy joined and his dedication and enthusiasm helped the school to grow, slowly but steadily into a full-fledged CBSE school with its own premises in Alwal. The Alwal branch started with 20 rooms and 40 Teachers in 2002 and today in 2020 the school has more than 80 rooms, 120 teachers and a strength of nearly 2500 students. Right from its inception the aim of the school was adhered to and can be described as follows;
St. Michael’s School (SMS) is an English medium school which promotes respect, consideration, fairness, and academic excellence along with holistic development. The school programme is designed to foster the academic, emotional, physical, spiritual, aesthetic and social growth of its students. Education is the means by which society passes on to each individual an understanding of culture in its many forms and at the same time develops the capacity to contribute to the improvement of that culture through interaction with others and that is exactly what we aim at in SMS.
The rich learning experience which the school seeks to provide develops the full potential in each student, generates intellectual curiosity, develops a logical and scientific temper and nurtures understanding, tolerance, and respect to the diverse cultures inherent in the school community.
The school is recognized by CBSE Board which has state-of-the-art facilities and is committed to quality education.
